Men's Circle

Men's Circle Facilitator ~ Duncan Bailey
With our Woman's groups becoming an integral part in our day-to-day living, creating the same space for men was just the obvious next step.

For thousands of years humans lived in groups or small villages. Men would hunt and gather and spend time with one another whilst the women did the same. In this space conversation was had, wisdom was learnt and support was found. In our current climate we find ourselves very much removed from these practises, and isolated from masculine wisdom from a group space. As individuals we may not have all the answers, but as a groups so much more is learnt.... hence the reason we have created this space.
Natalie has worked alongside Duncan on a breathwork journey and over much laughter formed a friendship, which is where the Men's Circle collaboration began.

In our Men's Circle we;

Give without expecting anything in return.
Have a ritual (such as a meditation) to anchor ourselves in the present.
Let what happens in the circles stays in the circle.
Take ownership of our feelings, beliefs and actions.
Share a safe space.
Face our fears and our lies.
Allow ourselves to be vulnerable.
Allow ourselves to be afraid in a safe space.
Laugh out loud.
Have fun.
Try things we’ve never tried before.
Respect each other and accept ourselves as we are and others are they are.
Learn new ways of exploring “who we are”.
Build a community to better ourselves and the world around us.
Mingle with likeminded people.
Un-learn our old limiting beliefs.
Give ourselves permission to be vulnerable.
Make new friends and build new relationships.

Duncan's Bio
Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP)
Duncan was born and brought up in Hong Kong in the late-1970s/early-1980s with an English father, Italian mother. He attended the same French school in Hong Kong from kindergarten classes until the age of 16, when he left for an international-student boarding school in the south of France.
Duncan would stay there for seven years, going through school and then university, specialising in information technology. It was during his time at a boarding school that his passion to help others started. What he valued most in those days was supporting his friends at school when they felt lost, confused, depressed, or simply sad. Unfortunately, many of these are common symptoms at boarding schools, where many adolescents are separated from the family life for the first time. This support came easily to Duncan as he had himself experienced chronic depression for two years in his teens. He had learned that all that was needed to heal was a reconnection with others. All he needed to do was to be there for those suffering. Yet at the same time, he was there to give them the space to heal. This want-to-help psyche has stayed with him. It has led Duncan to teach circus games and skills as a tool to bring social change for asylum seekers, disadvantaged youth, refugees, and children in mainstream schools. To running peer-support programmes in school, and educating youth about safe sex, drugs, eating disorders, and bullying. He also learnt Tarot reading and Numerology and practices these professionally. All this, in Hong Kong, Australia, France, and now the UK. In 2011, Duncan first imagined learning a way of healing that would be very effective, wide in scope, and therefore of immense value to those looking for support in many aspects of life and mind. He was also looking for something that would allow him to earn a living and still spend quality time with his family. Later that year, he discovered the BodyTalk Access programme, a one-day course to learn five simple helping-techniques. This course led Duncan to enrol in the practitioner programme in 2012 and then to qualify as a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner in November of that year.

Duncan has since successfully completed 12 courses in the BodyTalk curriculum. This allows him to support clients that have challenges on all levels of life – physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual. In 2019 Duncan join the School of Breathwork with the organisation called “makesomebreathingspace” and has since qualified at a Breathwork facilitator and is also currently a mentor in the School of Breathwork. Duncan also runs online and in person breathwork session in group and on a 121 basis.
