This 28 day challenge was born from a place of welcoming back the whole month of a woman's cycle. Often it's just the time of menstruation that we give any consideration to our cycle.  Our complete cycle is the inner compass to our bodies needs, and a guide to living a more balanced, meaningful connected life.

 

Day 3 - Winter {Menstrual Phase}

Follicular Stage 

Oestrogen and Progesterone hormone levels are at their lowest 

Reflective Phase 

My overall mood and energy levels are starting to rise.

 

Day 3 Rituals

  • Moon tea or milk
  • No caffeine or alcohol 
  • Daily meditation practice 
  • Cold Shower
  • Weight bearing exercises

 

Inspired Action
Power Statement;  I am curious and inspired.
Body Statement;  I have a very clever body.

Grateful; I am grateful for my freedom.

Flow; On a scale of 1-10 I would say 7.
Emotions; Feeling neutral. I found  Breathwork For Feeling Anxious - Box Breathing helpful {see below}.
Overall Energy; Just starting to gain momentum, feeling as though I am moving out of a slump. I eased back into exercise.
Other Symptoms; N/A
Discomfort; My cramps are dull but still displaying.
BOLT Score; 13.50
Temperature; 35.3
Slept; Very well
Dreamt; No

 

Breathwork For Feeling Anxious - Box Breathing

Instructions:

  • 4 seconds inhale through the nose.
  • 4 seconds hold your breath.
  • 4 seconds exhale through the nose.
  • 4 seconds hold your breath.

 This is a powerful breathing practice to do whenever you are feeling anxious or stressed.
